Our friends, Hugh and Jennifer, had to evacuate their house Monday due to the wild fires here in San Diego county. So Jennifer, Hugh, Clara (2) and Maya (4 months), Gus the dog and Pendleton the cat came to spend the night with us. We were not affected in Coronado (other than school being canceled for the whole week due to poor air quality). We were happy to host our friends for the night. We had a nice dinner, a walk to get some essentials (beer) and the girls took a bath together. They made it back home the next afternoon to a house that was just fine.
