New bike...no training wheels

Lauren just got a beach cruiser. She loves her new bike and is able to keep up with me so much better now that she has a bike that fits.

Allie is working on her bike with no training wheels. She is getting there. She has no fear of falling and is working really hard on mastering it.

She has lost the tooth

Lauren's tooth has been loose for what seems like eternity. She has been wiggling it, pushing it, brushing it but it had yet to fall out. It was even starting to turn colors. Finally this morning at breakfast it came out. She starting screaming and laughing and told me that her tooth was under her tongue. She had this big grin on her face all day long. The tooth fairy came and brought a dollar. My how inflation works...I remember getting a quarter.

Bay Bridge Walk/Run

Today was the Bay Bridge Walk/Run. Last year, I really wanted to run this race and didn't do it. So this year, I wasn't going to let the opportunity pass again. I signed up Lauren and I and planned on walking the whole thing since I had my long run the day before. We met Jennifer and kids there and waited in a LONG line to shuttle over to the start. We got to the start line at 8:30 when the race started at 8:00. Jennifer and I took off in a sprint when one of the race volunteers told us the road was going to open up soon if we were not on the bridge quickly.

Lauren was a trooper and ran/walked almost the whole thing.

Here was the view from the top of the bridge. That was quite and experience seeing it from that vantage point. I am so glad we did it this year. Maybe one year, Chad will be in town for it.

Birthday Party Butterflies

Lauren and Allie had a birthday part to go to today. Luka from Allie's class turned 4. There was a clown that painted faces and did a magic show for all of the kids. They had a great time.

Thanks Nana!

Well Nana did an outstanding job with the girls while I was away to Las Vegas with my friends. She managed to get them to all of their activities, school, kept them fed and bathed. Thanks Nana for watching the girls so I could get a little break.

This Little Piggy went to Vegas

Don't get grossed out by the condition of my feet in this picture, I have a very good reason why my feet were so swollen. Friday morning while in Vegas Condra and I did our 22 mile run. I was in Vegas b/c I flew my mom out here to watch the girls while I went up to Alaska to visit Chad. That trip was canceled when the ship decided not to go. So what is a mom to do with Nana coming to visit and no place to go...sounds like a girl's weekend in Vegas. Condra, Jen, Meredith and I packed our bags and headed out. We got in Thursday afternoon and checked into the Mirage. That night we had reservations at Wolfgang Puck and tickets to Ka, the Cirque de Soile show. We had 4th row center and the show blew us away.

Friday morning Condra and I got up at 5:00 a.m. to go for our run. As we were leaving the hotel, many people were just coming in. The run was awesome and it felt like such an accomplishment. The weather was more hot and dry then we were used to. We stopped at four fast food joints to fill up our water bottles. Coach Paul say we should now be ready for our marathon. I had scheduled us massages at the spa. That was the most amazing experience. The spa was SO nice and we were totally indulged. Meredith came in that night. We had dinner at Voo Doo Steak at the Rio and later danced our night away until after 4:00 a.m. Not bad for a bunch of moms.

We were at the pool the next morning by 8:00 a.m. to get chairs. Once we secured our spots we walked to Paris for crepes. Can I say YUM? Back to the pool for some napping and sunning. Saturday night was low key in comparison. We ate dinner at Olives and shopped at the Forum shops in Caesars.
This weekend was unbelievable. We laughed, we relaxed, we shopped, we ate, we did it all. Thanks Nana for making it all happen.

These are the flowers at the Bellagio. It was stunning exhibit.
