Ride in the COD

Chad took the girls and I up to the hanger last week to check out his office and airplane. Both of the girls loved sitting in the cockpit pretending to fly. After our tour we went and had lunch at Rubios. Yum...Fish tacos! Let's not talk about Allie's leftover fish taco that sat in my purse for two days.

We are getting ready for Joey and Casey's visit as well as Julie, Kendall and Liam. We love all of our summer time visitors. More posts to follow with an update for our visitors.

Wild Wild West Camp

The girls are in a pre-kinder camp through the Coronado Recreation department this week from 9-12. This is Allie's first camp experience while Lauren has been camper of the week and is the expert. She is showing her sister the ropes. They also have their friend Zoe in with them. She is a friend from Allie's soccer class. They spend the morning doing crafts (note the headbands on their heads), playing games outside and eating snacks. Both have been having an awesome time.

Sea World

Chad's parents were in town this week for a visit. We had such a great time showing them around San Diego. This was their first visit to San Diego. On Thursday we went to Sea World in the afternoon after Allie's nap. We wanted to be able to last until the fireworks and the Shamu Rocks show. The girls did fantastic and we all had such a blast. The shows were all great...especially the Clyde and Seamore show. Their visit flew by and I had two very sad girls this morning when Grandma and Papa were already gone.

Beach Bash

Don't let the parking lot in the back fool you...it really was a beach bash. Allie's birthday party was up at Breaker's Beach right beside the Navy Lodge on North Island. All her new friends were there. We had mini-burgers, fruit, salads and a delicious chocolate birthday cake. They played in the sand, on the playground and in the ocean. What a fantastic birthday!

Karen is in town

And look what she got us. These totally obnoxious cups that were $10.00 each. Isn't she the best!@$? We had a quick run through the zoo before heading back to the house. Danielle came to baby-sit. We had drinks out at the Del, dinner at Primavera, and ended the night at Danny's Palm Bar where we had three drinks for less than one drink at the Del.

And She's Three

Today was Allie's birthday. She was very excited about turning three to say the least. There is something pretty special about seeing a birthday through the eyes of a three year old. Lauren spent the day doing all sorts of nice things for her sister. The morning began with birthday "panpakes" and after much asking "is it time yet?" we headed to swim lessons. Our friends Jennifer and Clara and new baby Maya met us at the park. Allie requested McDonald's for lunch. We ended the day with a dinner date with Daddy. Opening presents and birthday cupcakes were squeezed in before it was time for bath.

Bubbles

We had fun at the library this afternoon during their bubble fun day. We rode bikes up there and they had many tables set up with wands and bubble "juice" for all the kids to play with. They also had a baby pool where you stood on a stool and some older kids pulled a bubble up around you. That was really cool. After all the bubble play we got cleaned up and they served root beer floats. Lauren informed me that she had had those before at Camp Coronado. We ended the day with a trip to the Farmer's Market. Allie slept in the stroller while Lauren and I shopped.

Inagural Post

You can check back here to see what is going on in the life of the White Family. We settled into our new home in Coronado and have been having a fantastic summer so far. Last week we enjoyed the 4th of July here and celebrated with a big party. I will post pictures from the day in a later post. This week we started swim lessons and Allie is playing soccer on Mondays.
